GlowMuse ("we," "our," or "us") operates the GlowMuse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using GlowMuse, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Profile Information: Age, beauty goals, skin type, skin sensitivity, skin concerns, lifestyle habits (sleep, water intake, confidence level, skincare routine), preferred aesthetic style, and routine preferences you provide during onboarding.
- Photos: Selfie images you voluntarily upload for AI face analysis. These images are processed to provide beauty feedback and are stored locally on your device.
- Chat Data: Messages you send to the AI Beauty Coach and Emotional Support features.
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage Data: App interaction data, feature usage, session duration, missions completed, and glow scores for analytics purposes.
- Purchase Data: Subscription status and purchase history processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide personalized daily missions, routines, and beauty recommendations based on your profile and goals.
- Deliver AI-powered face analysis results including skin clarity, facial symmetry, eye area, and skin tone scores.
- Power the AI Beauty Coach chat with contextually relevant beauty and confidence advice.
- Track your progress, glow scores, streaks, and achievements within the App.
- Process and manage your subscription and in-app purchases.
- Improve the App's features, performance, and user experience through analytics.
- Send push notifications related to daily missions and streaks (if you opt in).
3. AI Processing & Third-Party Services
GlowMuse uses third-party AI services to power certain features:
- AI Chat & Emotional Support: Your chat messages are sent to third-party AI language model providers for processing. Messages include conversation context to provide relevant responses. We do not store chat history on external servers beyond the active session.
- Face Analysis: When you use the face analysis feature, your selfie image is sent to a third-party AI vision model for analysis. The image is processed in real-time and is not stored by the third-party provider beyond the processing request.
These third-party services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection measures.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Local Storage: The majority of your personal data — including your profile, mission history, analysis results, selfie images, and progress data — is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage.
- No Account Required: GlowMuse does not require you to create an account with email or password. Your data is tied to your device.
- Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption for sensitive data stored on your device. Data transmitted to third-party AI services is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
5. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to understand how users interact with the App. This data helps us improve features and user experience. Analytics data does not include your selfie images, chat messages, or personal profile details.
6. In-App Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Purchase validation and subscription management are handled through RevenueCat, which communicates directly with the app stores.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- AI Service Providers: Chat messages and selfie images are shared with AI processing providers solely to deliver the app's features, as described in Section 3.
- Analytics: Anonymized usage data is shared with Firebase Analytics for app improvement.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Delete Your Data: Since data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all GlowMuse data by uninstalling the App.
- Photo Permissions: You can revoke camera and photo library permissions at any time through your device settings. Face analysis will not be available without these permissions.
- Push Notifications: You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
- Analytics Opt-Out: You can limit analytics data collection through your device's privacy settings.
9. Children's Privacy
GlowMuse is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] so we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website at glowmuse.live/privacy. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
